Man held for murdering wife

Hyderabad: The Narsingi police arrested a man for murdering his wife, while a woman who was his accomplice in the crime, is reported to be absconding. Eshaiah, 40, who worked as a watchman and Tirumalamma, with whom he had an affair prior to his marriage, strangled his wife, Saiamma, 38, to death and buried the body about two months ago, Narsingi police inspector P Ramchander Rao said.

The police grilled Eshaiah after the wife’s relatives approached them as they had not heard from her for two months. Eshaiah broke down during the interrogation and confessed his guilt, Rao said. The body, buried on a vacant plot of land, was exhumed and sent for autopsy.
