Nalgonda: The district Superintendent of the Police Dr T Prabhakar Rao on Thursday urged the managements of private schools and business men to bring to the notice of the police, if they received threatening phone calls in the name of banned outfits for extortion of money. The police had presented six persons before the media in connection with the erection of flexi banners in the name of RSU, which was front organization of banned outfit CPI(Maoist) at five places in Nalgonda town warning the Chief Minister K Chandrasekahar Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Prabhakar Rao informed that the police had taken two-students into the custody on Wednesday night when they moving suspiciously near Indira Gandhi statute on By-pass road and found similar flexi banners in their possession. In the police interrogation, the duo revealed the names of those who involved in the incident.

The arrested were I Janardhan Goud (25), BC Students Organization district Vice President, M Saidulu(23), AISF Town Nalgonda Secretary, D Venkateshwarlu(23), a MBA student and B Nagaraju (23). The police were also arrested J Shiva Kumar (23) and SK Hameed (28), who belongs to Shiva Printing Press of Haliya town where the accused printed the flexi banners.

The S P informed that under the guise of students’ organizations, the group has used to extort the money from private educational institutions, real estate businessmen, illegal sand transportation persons and block marketing people.
