Hyderabad: Six Nigerians were arrested by the police for their illegal stay in the country. According to the sources they are residing in the city without proper documentation. Their lack of necessary visa and passport documents led to their arrest.

The accused have been identified as Ogunleye Ebenezer, 24, Amobi Kelvin Okoye, 32, a student, cloth merchants Charles Nwankwo, 34 and Joe Bright Sunday, 28, traders Ikechukwu Joseph, 48, and Odiishedrack, 30. All of them used to stay at Aman Residency, P&T Colony, Sun City, Rajendranagar.

Investigating officer of Rajendranagar police station K. Srinivas said that they arrested the Nigerians when they came across the Nigerians on their routine patrol.

“They were asked to produce their passports and visas. Among them only Ogunleye Ebenezer showed his passport and visa and on perusal it was found that he had tourist visa, which already expired a year ago. The other accused stated that they had no passports,” she said.
