Nigerian Woman Held With 20 kg Drugs. A Nigerian woman who was trying to smuggle 20 kg of Ephedrine drug was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Thursday.
Hyderabad: A Nigerian woman who was trying to smuggle 20 kg of Ephedrine drug was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Thursday. On a tip-off, the sleuths of NCB caught the young woman named Linda Ronn who was about to board a flight to South Africa.
The drug, which was being smuggled in the form of packets, was seized by the officials. Later the officials took her to an undisclosed location inside the airport for questioning. Earlier, the officials from Director of Revenue Intelligence caught several cases. But this is believed to be first such case where a bulk 20kg of drug was caught. The officials also began investigating about her ‘handlers’ in the city.
