Hyderabad: The South Zone Police along with Cyberabad Police arrested four gangsters on Tuesday and rescued a businessman. The accused haililing from Karnataka, were apprehended by Moinabad police, Cyberabad for kidnapping Syed Kaleemullah Waseem, 40, from Himayathnagar.

The kidnappers barged into the house of Kaleemullah, owner of GEO Groups (shipping scrap business) and abducted him in their Mahindra Bolera vehicle (KA 36 M 6607). Based on a complaint by Kaleemulla’s wife Fatima Sara, police put all the stations on high alert. Police kept a check on Karnataka registration vehicles passing through the borders of the city. On suspicion, they stopped a vehicle, which had the businessman sitting inside and rescued him.

Police said the victim was introduced to Saleem by one Venkatesh at Goa in 2014. In due course of time, they developed good business relationship. They entered into an agreement which mentioned that Saleem paid Rs 50 lakhs on different occasions through RTGS and cheques to Kaleemullah. But he failed to supply the material and started avoiding him. Saleem approached CCS Police last year against Kaleemullah. Saleem who was vexed by Kaleemullah’s attitude, decided to kidnap him in order to teach him a lesson.
