Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police arrested five persons for allegedly forging land documents that belonged to a woman who expired in 2003 and executed a sale deed, the police said on Tuesday. Police registered a case under Section 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 109 of the IPC and Section 5 of AP Land Grabbing Act 1982 against the accused persons – Vodde Ramulu, 52, of Shankarpally, Mir Mohsin Mohiuddin Ali Khan alias Khurram, 42, of Manikonda, Mellepaka Srihari alias Hari, 43, of Kachiguda, Mashetty Nagender Guptha, 32, of RC Puram and Khaja Khutubuddin, 46, of Murad Nagar- on Monday based on a complaint from the original owner of the plot No 550, Jubilee Hills Co-operative Housing Building Society.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the accused at Green Park Hotel in Ameerpet on Monday when they were trying to sell the same to the complainant. DCP (West) A Venkateswara Rao said that the accused forged voter ID card of Lakshmi Raghuramaiah, original owner of the property who expired in 2003. Susheela Bai, 83, a member of the gang, who has been served a notice under Section 41 (a) of the CrPC, impersonated as the original owner.
“They tried to sell the plot with the certified copies and executed a false deed of Rs 1.7 crore against the original value of the property at Rs 7 crore, stating that as they were not in possession of the link documents they were selling the property at a lesser price,” the DCP said, adding that efforts were being made to nab Syed Raza Nadeem and Nissar Ahmed who are absconding.
