Burglars decamp with 23 tolas of gold, 2.50 lakh

A major burglary was committed at the house of R Vasudeva Rao in Kondampeta village of Rajam mandal in the district at midnight on Friday. Thieves ransacked his house and decamped with a little less than 270 grams of gold and Rs 2.50 lakh cash.

Police suspected that a neighbour of VAsudeva Rao could have committed the crime. DSP Adinarayana said the suspect fled the village after ransacking Vasudeva Rao’s house. He said the police teams were deployed to nab the suspect.
