Hussainsagar turns suicide point for women, cops foil bid

The Lake police on Monday rescued two women who allegedly planned to end their lives by jumping into Hussainsagar Lake.

According to reports, two women identified as Rajini (42), a resident of Mettuguda and Narasamma (40), a resident of Panjagutta were planning to commit suicide. Rajini decided to end her life as she could not get alcohol. The woman is said to be habituated to alcohol consumption. The police rescued her when she was about to plunge into the lake.

In another case, Narasamma allegedly had a live-in-relation with one Rama Krishna. Her family members filed a complaint after they learnt about her affair. Dejected over this, she jumped into the lake to commit suicide.
