Minor girl raped; parents protest
A massive crowd assembled outside Pahadishareef police station as the parents and relatives demanded justice for the five-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a neighbour, according to sources. Though the incident took place on May 7, it came to light a couple of days back when the victim narrated the ordeal to her parents who then lodged a complaint with the Pahadishareef police.
Hyderabad: A massive crowd assembled outside Pahadishareef police station as the parents and relatives demanded justice for the five-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a neighbour, according to sources. Though the incident took place on May 7, it came to light a couple of days back when the victim narrated the ordeal to her parents who then lodged a complaint with the Pahadishareef police.
The victim was kidnapped by her nieghbour from her house when she was alone and then she was raped, according to the complaint. The protesters questioned the police for delay in arrest and criticised them lack of action. They also condemned that in the past similar cases were reported but no stern action had been taken.
“We were asked to take back our written complaint,” said the parents who gathered in front of the police station.The relatives alleged that the police were not addressing the issue with utmost urgency.
