Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents on Tuesday night. A 38-year-old private company employee and his relative, riding pillion, were killed when a Maruti Ertiga car rammed into their motorcycle, at Shamirpet. According to police, Raju, a resident of Chintal and his relative, Srinivas, 54, of Shahpur were going towards Shamirpet.

According to police, Raju, a resident of Chintal and his relative, Srinivas, 54, of Shahpur were going towards Shamirpet.


When they reached Shamirpet MRO office crossroads, a Maruti Ertiga car which was going towards Karimnagar from Hyderabad rammed into their bike. Due to the impact, both fell on the road and sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot. “We are trying to identify the driver with the help of vehicle’s registration number,” Shamirpet sub-inspector, T Mahesh said adding that efforts are afoot to nab the driver of the car.


In a similar case, a software engineer Dheeraj Kumar died after being hit by a car under Saifabad police station limits on Tuesday night. “Dheeraj was going along with his friend Anirudh on a motorcycle when a car hit them from behind. Dheeraj fell on the road and sustained severe head injury.


Death was instant for him,” Sub-inspector, G Mahalaxmaiah said adding that Anirudh escaped with minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. Police registered a case. Further probe is on. “We are trying to trace the car with the help of CCTV footage,” the SI added.
