Hyderabad: Uppal police station assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and head constable were suspended on Wednesday on the charges of dereliction of duty under Cyberabad Commissionerate limits. ASI J Vishnu and head constable M Kumar (HC 703) attached to the Uppal police station patrol staff have been reportedly collecting 'mamools' (bribes) from business establishments in their respective patrolling areas despite being warned several times, an official release said.They were suspended on the charges of dereliction of duties, Cyberabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said. They would face disciplinary action, he added.
