In a tragic incident, an intermediate student was moved down by a truck at Kattedan cross roads under Mailardevplally police station on Tuesday.
Mamatha Chowhan, a resident of TNGOs colony in Kattedan, along with her friend were crossing the road at the time of the accident.
Mamatha was run over by a truck and killed on the spot, while her friend Haritha suffered severe injuries.
The victim was pursuing her intermediate course at Gowtham Junior college in Shamshabad. The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The Mailardevplally Police have registered a case.
