In a major breakthrough, Molakalacheruvu police on Tuesday arrested a notorious inter-State robber Shamir Khan (37), who was involved in several cases of robberies under Molakacheruvu, Pileru and Madanapalli rural circle limits and recovered 306 gm gold ornaments and 390 gm silver articles, besides four vehicles including an SUV, two motor cycles worth Rs 12 lakh from him.

Chittoor SP G Srinivas told media on Tuesday that Shamir Khan was involved in 160 cases of robberies in Tamil Nadu, AP and Telangana.
