A senior Army official's son has absconded after he caused a fatal car crash at Trimulgherry on Thursday where a driver of HCL Technologies was killed and two others were injured. Following the incident, some Army soldiers reportedly took the accused who also suffered minor injuries to a hospital without revealing details to the police.

HCL Technologies employees said that the youngster was allegedly driving the car without a driving licence. Trimulgherry police who confiscated the vehicle said that they have no clue who the driver was but registered an FIR under Section 304A for causing death by negligence. Even after three days of investigation, the cops are yet to name the suspect.

An HCL employee said that the HCL cab carrying employees travelling towards Neredmet met with the accident when a car rammed into the cab at Trimulgherry crossroads killing the driver on the spot and leaving two HCL employees injured.

The cab driver identified as D. Srinivas hailed from Siddipet and his body was handed over to his family. Despite eyewitnesses being present at the spot, the police were not able to collect the details of the driver.

While Trimulgherry PS SI M. Krishna Murthy said that the car’s registration number was JH 01 AW 6655 and that the car belongs to an Army official, they do not know the name of the owner. Meanwhile, the HCL employees alleged that the Army official is influencing the police in order to rescue his son but the cops denied the allegation.
