Woman lecturer commits suicide

A woman lecturer committed suicide over alleged dowry harassment at Chinna Boinapalli in the district. Lecturer Mamatha and doctor Venkata Ramana were engaged one year ago after a four-year courtship. It was alleged that Venkata Ramana threatened her of marrying another girl if she fail to give more dowry.

Lecturer Mamatha and doctor Venkata Ramana were engaged one year ago after a four-year courtship. It was alleged that Venkata Ramana threatened her of marrying another girl if she fail to give more dowry.
Unable to bear the pressure, she consumed pesticides to end her life. She was admitted to MGM hospital in Warangal where she breathed her last on Saturday. Venkata Ramana was absconding.
