Burglar makes vain bid to break open ATM machine
An unknown person on Monday made a vain bid to steal money from an ATM centre in Madannapet.
​Hyderabad: An unknown person on Monday made a vain bid to steal money from an ATM centre in Madannapet.
According to the police, at about 1.30 am on Monday, an unknown person entered the SBH ATM located near Dhobi Ghat X roads in Madannapet and tried to break open the ATM machine but could not succeed.
“Meantime, two persons went to collect the money from the ATM, but he acted as a customer and stayed calm. After they left, he again struggled to break open the machine for about 30 minutes, and realised that he cannot open the machine and turned back,” said the police.
On Monday morning at about 9 am, locals observed that the ATM machine was partially open and called the police. The police, along with dog squad and clues team inspected the spot.
“We have recovered the CC camera footage from the ATM centre and identified the accused. Efforts are on to nab him,” said Madannapet police.
