In a spine chilling incident, three puppies were allegedly burnt alive by seven persons, reportedly all minor boys. The gruesome act was recorded on a mobile phone by one of the accused and was posted on social media.

The horrifying incident that occurred on July 16 at Musheerabad graveyard came to light when the video went viral on social media. The Musheerabad police booked a case against the unknown youngsters on Wednesday, following a complaint from an NGO.
The alleged video contained footage of youngsters putting three puppies in pyre made of jute bags and sticks. They were seen dragging the puppies to some distance and throwing them into fire tying together.
The complainant Shreya Paropkari, an animal rights activist lodged a complaint with the police stating, “Some unidentified youngsters tied the three puppies, dragged them to some distance and put them into fire.”
The complainant also stated that one of the accused recorded the entire incident and he instructed and instigated others to set the puppies on fire. The recordings were recovered from a fish stall owner in Musheerabad, Shreya said in the complaint.
Following the complaint, the police booked a case against the accused under Sections 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc,) of IPC and relevant Sections of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act.
Musheerabad SI B Bhaskar Rao said, “Efforts are on to nab the youngsters who did the cruel act.” Earlier, Shreya met city Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy and submitted the video clip of the incident.
