Cab driver tries to molest air hostess
An air hostess working for a private airline lodged a complaint with the Rajendranagar police on Tuesday alleging molestation by a cab driver who offered her lift during late night. The incident happened near 212 pillar of PVNR Expressway when she was walking towards a nearby medical shop.
Hyderabad: An air hostess working for a private airline lodged a complaint with the Rajendranagar police on Tuesday alleging molestation by a cab driver who offered her lift during late night. The incident happened near 212 pillar of PVNR Expressway when she was walking towards a nearby medical shop.
A cab driver, who was passing by the same road, offered her lift till the shop. The woman boarded the cab. The driver misguided her and took her to an isolated place near Shamshabad where he attempted to molest her. When she resisted, the driver snatched her phone and left her there.
The woman with the help of another cab driver called her friend and informed about the incident, who later lodged a complaint with the police. The police said as soon as police they received the information about the incident, she was rescued from the scene.
Based on a complaint lodged by her, a case of attempt to rape and robbery had been registered for probe and five special teams had been formed to nab the cab driver. Footage of CC cameras in the area had been verified and the driver had been identified. The accused would be nabbed soon, the police said.
