65-yr-old held for molesting minor
A five-year-old girl child was allegedly molested by a sexagenarian at Kushaiguda on Monday. He was caught by his neighbours, police said.
​Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl child was allegedly molested by a sexagenarian at Kushaiguda on Monday. He was caught by his neighbours, police said.
Krishnaiah (65), a native of Khammam, had come to Hyderabad recently and was staying at his daughter’s house at Silver Oak Apartment at Cherlapally area. During Ganesh festival period, Krishnaiah had lured a five-year-old girl.
According to police, on pretext of giving chocolates and pencils, he took the girl aside and tried to exploit her. The residents of the apartment noticed Krishnaiah and rescued the girl.
They also beat him and warned him, but did not complain about the incident to the girl’s parents or Krishnaiah’s daughter.
On Sunday, Krishnaiah again tried to assault the girl, when the residents caught him and handed him over to the police.
