The police conducted a cordon and search drive in Jammikunta on Friday while striving to drive home the message that they were with the people.
Karimnagar: The police conducted a cordon and search drive in Jammikunta on Friday while striving to drive home the message that they were with the people.
While interacting with the people, the police sought information with regard to their day-to-day woes. They seized 10 bikes and one cycle and car each, which were found without any documents.
As many as 450 police personnel, headed by Commissioner of Police Kamalasan Reddy, went round house to house in the town.
They warned of stringent action against open drinking during the drive against liquor consumption, and also against those resorting to harassment of women.
While appealing to the people to cooperate with the department for checking illegal transport activities, the police officials assured the residents that they would stand by them in their hour of need.
