Minor girl allegedly raped on pretext of marriage in Hyderabad

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped on the pretext of marriage in Hyderabad.

Police on Saturday arrested a 21-year-old man, Khalid for allegedly abducting and raping a minor girl. The accused took the victim, a student of VII standard to Tandur by making false claims of marriage but raped the girl after reaching the town.

On the other hand, the girl's parents lodged a missing complaint. Police investigating the case, found Khalid and arrested him on the charges of kidnap, rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (PCSO) Act.

The girl has been sent for medical examination. Khalid, who was produced before the magistrate was sent into judicial custody.
