Party will never again sit in opposition: Naidu to cadres Kakinada: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu told the party workers here on Tuesday that the party would not sit in the opposition anymore and the winning horses would only be given party tickets to contest the elections. Reviewing the working of party workers in Kakinada Urban and Rural constituencies at Acchampet, Naidu said that he was proud to have such a large number of party workers with him, though he had been sitting in the opposition for the last two terms. "The party workers have been very loyal, though some leaders left the party," he said. Patiently answering queries from the workers, Naidu said that stalwarts like Sanjiva Reddy and Brahmananda Reddy had also left their parent parties. And the parties they either joined or set up got a clean chit. However, the YSR Congress Party which some leaders were joining was born out of corruption, he noted. When a party worker demanded announcement of candidates for the constituencies, he said that several issues needed to be taken into consideration before announcing the names. He told the party workers to propagate the good works undertaken by the party among the people. He exhorted them to work hard for party victory in the elections to local bodies, water users associations, Assembly and others.
