Govt nod for industry partners for IIIT-Chittoor. State government on Thursday has approved appointment of four partners from the Industry for the State Steering Committee (SSC) which was constituted for the proposed IIIT at Chittoor.

Hyderabad: State government on Thursday has approved appointment of four partners from the Industry for the State Steering Committee (SSC) which was constituted for the proposed IIIT at Chittoor. Four partners are: Deenanth Harapenahalli of Chintalapati Holdings Private Limited; Srini Raju of Sri City Foundation, Ravindra Sannarredy of Sannareddy Holdings Private Limited and Ramesh Subramaniam of Sri City (P) Limited.

Apart from senior state government, the SSC consisted, chief engineer of Roads and Buildings, three industry representatives nominated by major State level industry associations. They are: B V R Mohan Reddy, CMD, Infotech, Bidhin Kankate, Regional Director, NASSCOM, Hyderabad and V Rajanna, President, IT & ITES, Industry Association of AP.
Another three members having knowledge, expertise and eminence in academia in the field of Information Technology were also appointed for SSC. They were: Uday B Desai, Director, IIT, Hyderabad, Prof. P J Narayana, Director, IIIT, Hyderabad and Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Director, IIT, Madras.
A new IIIT under PPP was recently inaugurated at Kakinada, the constituency of MM Pallam Raju, Union Minister.
