JEE Advanced 2014: First Round of Seat Allocation ReleasedThe first round of seat allocation in JEE Advanced 2014 was announced on Tuesday. About 19,000 candidates have been shortlisted in the first round. The seat allocation would be completed in three rounds as per the specified schedule. Students who participated in the counselling can log in with user ID, JEE Advanced 2014 roll no and password to check the seat allotment. Candidates can check their seat allotment at the end of every round.

The last date for acceptance and online payment of admission fee for first round is July 4. The second round of seat allotment would be announced on July 7 and last date to pay admission fee online is July 10.

Aspirants can withdraw an allocated seat and take refund of provisional admission fee between July 9 and 11. The third round of seat allocation will be announced on July 12 and last date to pay provisional admission fee for candidates allocated seats in third round is July 14.

The seats would be allotted across 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad that have total 9,784 seats in various engineering branches.

It may be noted that approximately 21 per cent of the candidates passed the exam in JEE Advanced examination. Around 1.26 lakh candidates registered for the test, but only 27,151 candidates have passed the test. Of 27,151 qualifiers, 19,416 candidates could find place in the Common Merit List (CML) from which the final admissions will be made.
