Hyderabad: An Advanced Skills in English book was launched at Osmania University here on Friday.
Hyderabad: An Advanced Skills in English book was launched at Osmania University here on Friday. The book has 12 units that include inspiring biographies of Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of Google, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Martin Luther King, etc, said Dr E Suresh Kumar, Professor & Head Department of English, OU. It also includes soft skills, civic sense, alternative careers – short film making as a career, hazards of artificial colours in foods, environmental issues, among others. The topics and exercises are aimed at improving their English language skills as well as their personality, Suresh added. The book is prescribed for second year BA, BCom, BSc, students of Osmania University.The book comes with a CD that includes audio tracks and also the pronunciation of difficult words.
