Certification exam on National Institute of Securities Markets
A certification exam on ‘National Institute of Securities Markets’ (NISM) series V-A, Mutual Funds Distributors, was conducted at Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) on Thursday. MITS being the only partner of NISM in Andhra Pradesh, students from other states have also registered for the exam. More than 60 students, the majority of them beimg from MITS took the examination.

MITS being the only partner of NISM in Andhra Pradesh, students from other states have also registered for the exam. More than 60 students, the majority of them beimg from MITS took the examination.
Nikhil Shinde, Manager, NISM, Mumbai conducted the exam in the central computers lab in MITS. He also delivered a lecture on “Careers in Securities Markets” to students pursuing MBA. Speaking on the occasion, he said there are a lot of opportunities for students who complete these courses which are mandatory with a very good starting salary package. He talked about the opportunities as advisors, dealers, distribution officers, managers, trustees, fund manager etc., in banking, mutual fund and stock broking companies.
Students also interacted passionately and clarified their doubts. He complemented the institute for taking up initiation in organising such a programme. He assured about the coordination of NISM with MITS in such programmes. Fourteen students cleared the certification exam. C Yuvaraj thanked the management for encouraging the department to initiate such programmes. Principal C Yuvaraj, Dean IIIC Ch Ram Prasad Rao, Department Head Dr D Pradeep Kumar, the training coordinator K Srinivas, SAO Academic and Planning Srikanth and the faculty of the department participated in the program.
