Tollywood actor Nikhil Siddharth is likely to be the chief guest for the film festival of Loyola Academy Degree and P.G College this year. The 8th edition of INFOCUS – The national film festival organized by the Mass Communication Department of the college is scheduled to be held between January 7 and 8.

The 8th edition of INFOCUS – The national film festival organized by the Mass Communication Department of the college is scheduled to be held between January 7 and 8.
The main objective of Infocus is to showcase upcoming talent, through short film competition, photography exhibition, workshops, discussions, seminars and cultural events. This year, a special focus of the fest would be on the 100 years of Indian cinema.
Nearly 50 colleges nationally and locally have been invited and the crowd expected is more than 500. Already 20 colleges have registered in different competitions, informed a member of the organizing committee.
‘The other highlights of the programme include workshops by Shrey photography group and Kamal Kiran for commercial photography on both the days.
There are different types of competitions like Shortfilm, PSM, Photography on Streets, Landscapes and emotions, Dubsmash and documentaries. There is even spot registration for Ad mad and Filmy Quiz.
There are also cultural events held by the students of the department like dance, music, skits, beat box and many more. There are food stalls and game stalls for the people to enjoy. A Korean Group would perform Buchaechum also known as The Fan Dance. ‘
Sriram Karri, a famous author would discuss about his books which would be displayed for sale in a stall at the college premise on Jan 8. Shree Rapaka, an upcoming actress and an upcoming designer is expected to attend during the closing ceremony.
