Understanding finance is the key to develop global business managers

Dr. Anil Lamba, Founder, Lamcon and author of bestselling book ‘Romancing the Balance sheet’ conducted a two day training programme on ‘Developing global business managers’ held at Hotel Royalton, Hyderabad on 18th& 19th June, 2016. The agenda of the talk was to create awareness on financial literacy amongst the audience. The highlight of the session was to clear the concepts of finance including the cash-flow & profitability statements, leverage analysis, global and domestic economic scenario to name a few.

The crux of the training was to infuse financial awareness amongst the audience, which would help us in creating a transparent picture in front of them and ultimately the balance sheet would start talking in the language they understand.”. This financial training was specially organized for the business owners, industrialists, non-finance executives and self-employed professionals. Developing Global Business Managers was a practice oriented training, comprised of lectures, case studies, group discussions and was modeled by keeping in mind the non-finance persons.

Speaking on this initiative, Dr.Anil Lamba, said, “The best way to understand your business is to understand its finance. Finance is the elixir of any business across the globe. There should be an overall awareness about finance amongst each individual from any company. Every action of individuals can be translated into either good or bad finance management. Finance management is the result of the collective actions of the entire organization”.

The attendees, from varying backgrounds were introduced to the video series and books written by Dr. Anil Lamba. The book ’Romancing the Balance Sheet’ was the center of attention, followed by a round of Q&A conducted at the end of the training. Lamcon continues to take up such initiatives of financial expert programmes/training sessions to spread awareness about financial management in corporate and businesses, across the world.
