Ushering in Chinese year of the goat to bring good luck and prosperity, Taj Krishna is celebrating the auspicious Chinese New Year by hosting a food festival at the Golden Dragon, a specialty Cantonese and Sichuan restaurant, from February 19 to 28. In the coming days, Master Chef Hung Fong Ng and his team will be presenting a special menu that reflects the traditional cuisine of the New Year. Each of the dishes is endowed with subtlety and refinement.

Chinese New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the Chinese lunar calendar. It is celebrated in countries with significant Chinese populations, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Philippines. The festival showcases the rich culinary heritage of China with an array of traditional delicacies.

The menu opens with exciting entrée s such as Chicken Jiaozi, Tender rock lobster chilly oyster, whole mushrooms in spicy gulin chilli sauce, crisp tofu wild pepper, shredded chicken snow fungus silver sprout soup, minced lamb garlic noodle soup, mushroom tofu and zucchini lemon pepper broth, jade asparagus soup with wolf berries and pan fried rock lobster garlic wine sweet peppers.

The main course comprises of stir fried calamari with greens, stir fried prawns with lychees and fresh chilly, hot and sour winter melon, diced eggplant, pickle chilli and silken tofu with double mushroom in chilly garlic sauce, mixed meat fried rice with wood ear and greens, Fukien fried rice with sea food, aromatic coriander water chest, tomato fried rice and braised asian spiced noodles. The dessert is dotted with favourites such as sweet rice dumpling and nian gao.

Savour the specially crafted menu by Masterchef Hung Fong Ng who will be creating magic with his unique and signature oriental creations that will leave you wanting for more. The A' la carte festival is open for both lunch 12.30 pm to 3 pm and dinner 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
