Srinivasa Kalyanam held on grand note

Tenali (Guntur): The Kalyanotsavam of Lord Venkateswara under the auspices of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) was held on a grand note here on Saturday. Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar monitored the colourful event at the local Ananda Nilayam. The priests chanted `Veda mantras' as the celestial wedding was performed in a grand way. Thousands of devotees thronged the venue and watched the event with devotion. The event lasted for three hours mesmerising the devotees. TTD chairman Kanumuri Bapi Raju and Tirumala temple executive officer Subrahmanyam, accompanied by priests from the hill shrine, graced the occasion. The venue of Kalyanam was reverberated with the chanting of `Govinda Govinda.' People's representatives and officials also contributed for the successful conduct of the celestial wedding.
