HIV+ children get aid.The Lions Club of Narsapur and Vasista Clubs, Narsapur, distributed books, slippers and food to 53 children affected by HIV housed at the Bethesda AIDS Rehabilitation Centre in Rustumbada, on Thursday.

On this occasion, Dr Ram Satish, said, “We should not show any discrimination on them because they haven’t committed any mistake. We should not punish them psychologically by discriminating them. Being HIV Positive is not at all contagious. So we should welcome them into the mainstream of our social life.”
Achanta Gandhi, chief donor of the programme, adviced, “Everyone should contribute 10 per cent of their income for the social service. Soon I will donate my organs to the community.”
Lions Club secretary Dr D Venkatesswara Rao, hospital superintendent Sri Paul Raj, club members Achanta Bhavani, Rayudu Lakshmana Rao, Vinnakota Subba Rao, Madhira Sita Ram, Ande Nageswara Rao, Srinath Vadayar and Major VR Tagore participated in the programme.
