Results for SRMJEEE-2015 (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) were announced by the SRM University on Monday. Raghavan, a student of Sri Sankara Sr. Sec. School in Tamil Nadu secured first rank in the entrance exam, while Sagar Goyal, a student of Delhi Public School in New Delhi secured second rank.

Hyderabad: Results for SRMJEEE-2015 (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) were announced by the SRM University on Monday. Raghavan, a student of Sri Sankara Sr. Sec. School in Tamil Nadu secured first rank in the entrance exam, while Sagar Goyal, a student of Delhi Public School in New Delhi secured second rank. The exam was conducted last month in 200 cities across India for students who desire to specialise in B.Tech CSE.


Shubham Rajgaria from St. Xaviers Collegiate School, Kolkata; Ragini Sreenath from Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai; Veldurthy Sudhanyu, a student from Telangana secured third, fourth and fifth rank respectively at all India level. SRM Chancellor Parivandhar announced the dates for counseling. “Counseling for those with ranks up to 6000 will be held on May 17 at the main campus in Chennai followed by those with ranks up to 12000 on May 18.


Counseling for ranks up to 18000 will be held on May 19 and for ranks up to 26000 on May 20, subsequently from 26001 to 70000 will be held from May 21 to 24.” The Chancellor further mentioned that founders scholarship to the first 50 rank holders will be given which entitles them for 100 per cent waiver of tuition fees, hostel / transport fees.


“To encourage entrance examination toppers the University offers SRMJEEE merit scholarship where students with 51 to 250 ranks will get 75 per cent waiver of tuition fee and those between 251 to 500 ranks will get 50 per cent waiver of tuition fee,” Parivandhar said. Arrangements are being made by the SRM University with select banks for sanction of educational loan at the counseling venue.
