It has been a practice in the temple to decorate the deity with vegetables every year during July-August, the beginning of the new agriculture season. The festival begins from Ashada Shuddha Trayodasi to Pournami (full moon) in the season.

The farmers and devotees donate vegetables, while the temple officials too buy some for decoration. Thousands of devotees visit the temple during the three days and offer special prayers to the deity.

The festival begins with Vighneswara Pooja on July 29 and concludes with Maha Purnahuti on July 31, this year. The officials estimate that they would require around 25 tonnes of vegetables for decoration of the deity for three days.

The temple officials have made all arrangements to procure the vegetables and decorate the deity. The temple would also receive donation of vegetables. Devotees can reach the temple assistant executive officer, B V Reddy on his mobile 9000030477.
