L&T told to handover road stretches to GHMC
The Larsen &Toubro Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (L&THMRL), the concessionaire for the Hyderabad Metro Rail was directed to handover the road stretches where the metro rail construction activity is completed to GHMC.

The decision was taken at the Special Task Force (STF) meeting held on Tuesday. The Chief Secretary, Rajiv Sharma instructed Commissioner &Special Officer, GHMC; Additional CP (Traffic) and MD, HMR to conduct joint inspections before taking over such road stretches from L&TMRHL.
The Chief Secretary directed the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited to speed up the property acquisition process and to list out the properties that are held up in court litigations in the next meeting to review the process with more focus. The provision of LED lights along the Metro Rail corridors came up for discussion.
