DCC chief slams KCR for inviting Chandrababu

District Congress Committee (DCC) president Budida Bikshamaiah Goud on Tuesday came down heavily on Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for inviting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who opposed Telangana statehood, to ‘Chandi Yagam’ as such a decision would torment the souls of the Telangana martyrs.
Nalgonda: District Congress Committee (DCC) president Budida Bikshamaiah Goud on Tuesday came down heavily on Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for inviting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who opposed Telangana statehood, to ‘Chandi Yagam’ as such a decision would torment the souls of the Telangana martyrs.
Speaking to the media here, Bikshamaiah Goud said that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who had previously opposed the formation of Telangana State was now creating hurdles in sharing of river waters between the two States.
The people of Telangana would have felt happy if KCR invited AICC president Sonia Gandhi to ‘Chandi Yagam’ who was responsible for the creation of Telangana state, he said. He advised KCR to invite the bereaved families of Telangana martyrs and the farmers who committed suicides to the Chandi Yagam.
He lashed out at Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy over his claims that the TRS candidate would get 700 votes in the Nalgonda local bodies MLC elections. The statement of the Minister indicated that the TRS, which had only 190 MPTCs and ZPTCs, was resorting to unethical practices to win in the elections, he added. He alleged that the TRS leaders were intimidating the MPTCs and ZPTCs of other political parties to join their camp.
Claiming that it was not possible to stop the victory of the Congress candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, the DCC president exuded confidence that Rajagopal Reddy would win in the elections with a majority of 300 to 350 votes.
