New Delhi: TRS MP B Vinod Kumar on Tuesday demanded passage of the Women's Reservation Bill in Lok Sabha too to empower women in the country. Criticising both the Congress and the BJP for their failure to get the Bill passed in both the Houses, he said it was time that the leadership of these parties took notice of their failure and made amends.

He said he had written to the Prime Minister in this regard seeking an all-party meeting to resolve differences, if any. He also stated that once the bill was passed, then there would be a need to undertake delimitation of the Lok Sabha seats. It would then be easier to provide 33 per cent reservation to women in the Parliament.

Referring to the agreements signed by Chief Minister, K Chandrashekara Rao with the Maharashtra government on irrigation related issues, Vinod hailed it as remarkable and eye-opener to other State governments “illegally building projects at the cost of their neighbours.”

Another TRS MP B Narsaiah Goud too hailed the agreement as path-breaking and said Telangana State would become green in a few years because of the pact between Telangana and Maharashtra governments. Both the MPs welcomed the decision of the Centre to withdraw proposal to impose tax on EPF.
