Thanks to the efforts of its chairman MSRV Prasad, Saradhi Studios which has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time— despite the smooth progress of some films— has now got a new look. It will be henceforth called as Sri Saradhi Studios.

Doyens of Telugu cinema—Dasari Narayana Rao, K Viswanath and K Raghavendra Rao— attended the inaugural ceremony of the newly renovated Saradhi Studios on Friday here. Speaking after inaugurating a new preview theatre, Dasari said, “I’m happy to see Saradhi Studios sporting a brand new look.

At a time when places meant for film studios are used for real estate purposes, I’m delighted to see Prasad, without expecting any profits in return, renovating Saradhi Studios.” He added that he shot 25-30 films at Saradhi Studios and that he has spent two-and-a-half years of his life at the place.

Prasad, who took over the studio in 2006, said that the place has been re-designed to meet the modern filmmaking needs.
The renovated studio has also come up with a new animation studio, digital intermediate lab, editing suits and digital marketing division.
