The UAE-based ‘Thumbay Hospital New Life – Hyderabad’ opened its first flagship centre in the country. As part of the inauguration of the hospital, a ‘Free Mega Health Camp’ was organised in Chaderghat from 9 am to 7 pm on Monday.

A special team of General Consultants aided by nurses and staff lead the camp, which provided free checkups to visitors in the hospital’s departments such as Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Urology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Pulmonology, in addition to General Medicine. Patients also availed free blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI checkups.

Speaking at the camp, Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice-President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group said, “The ‘Mega Health Camp’ aims to increase awareness and promote good health among the public.

We regularly conduct health camps as part of Thumbay Group’s corporate social responsibility, across all Thumbay Hospitals and Clinics both in India and UAE. With these camps, we aim to help the public gain easy access to superior healthcare.”

Thumbay Hospital New Life is conceived as a ‘family’ healthcare facility in the city where high quality services are delivered at affordable costs. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President who hails from Mangalore has said Thumbay Group also aims to make the hospital a hub of Medical Tourism, as well as a leader in medical training.

“It will also establish an Advanced Transplant Centre shortly. More specialty hospitals will be coming up in various parts of the country,” he said.
