It was a memorable learning lesson into the practicalities of the beautiful game for over 300 youngsters, who assembled and attended the ‘Free Junior Football Clinic-2016’ that was by organized by Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) at its Sports Complex in Masab Tank on Monday.

After all, Victor Amalraj, former India captain and currently with FCI, and A Aleem Khan, former international and presently District Sports Development Officer with DSA Hyderabad, come with impressive credentials. That the two masters left the students awe-struck was, perhaps, on expected lines.

Both gave their invaluable inputs on various techniques that matter like the header, dodging, passing and creating goals. They emphasised that football was a game that was played in the mind and executed on the ground, particularly during crunch situations.
The two interacted with the trainees, who expressed their keenness to take up the game and prove their worth.

Amalraj and Aleem Khan lauded the efforts being put in by K Saibaba, the founder-Secretary of the Foundation, by providing platforms in a multitude of disciplines and bringing in qualified coaches that was coming as a great opportunity for young boys and girls to work on their strengths and weaknesses.

Saibaba reassured that they would continue to conduct such clinics, camps and tournaments so that the hopefuls can parade their wares and develop into sportspersons of merit, in course of time. The boys, needless to say, went back richer with the knowledge gained.
