IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Chief Executive Officer of Airtel (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) Venkatesh Vijayraghavan and race director for Airtel Hyderabad Marathon Dr Murali Nannapaneni were present at the launch event. The run’s curtain raiser 5K run will take place on the first day while the 10K, half and full marathon will take place on August 28.
Hyderabad Runners Society and Bharti Airtel along with the government of Telangana announced the launch of the sixth edition of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, which is set to be held on August 27 and 28.

Speaking on the occasion, race director Dr Nannapaneni said, “In this sixth edition of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, our focus first and foremost is on increasing runner safety & offering world class race amenities. Additionally, we are planning for a vibrant and elaborate entertainment all along the race route and a significant volunteer participation that will energize the city and enhance the overall runner experience.”
Announcing the registrations open, chief executive officer for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Bharti Airtel Venkatesh Vijayraghavan said, “We are proud to be partnering with the city’s annual flagship running event for the sixth year.
Airtel Hyderabad Marathon has created a world-class sporting extravaganza by connecting runners, communities and people at large through the transformative power of sports for the last five editions. We encourage everyone to be a part of this mega event as participants or as cheer groups and lead the participation drive among family and friends.”
