Emphasis laid on homegrown technologies

Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) celebrated the 70th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. P Sudhakar, Chairman & Managing Director hoisted the national flag at the ceremonial function held at the factory man gate and inspected the Guard of Honour presented by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) contingent.

Among the dignitaries who participated in the function were Kishor Rungta Director (Finance), VSB Babu – Director (Personnel), K Narsing Rao General Secretary, ECIL Mazdoor Shang Union and D Ramulu, Secretary, ECIL Officer’s Association.

In his message, Sudhakar highlighted ECIL’s important achievements in the recent past. He urged the employees to increase focus on homegrown technologies and increase productivity and competitiveness.

The students of Atomic Energy Central School presented a cultural programme comprising of patriotic songs and dances. The highlight was the dance by the school children highlighting the diversity of India. They drew the applause and appreciation of the large gathering.
