So if you are someone who workouts regularly and this is another format you are adding into your workout routine, you have nothing to worry, you can safely go into a Zumba Fitness class and experience the magic. It’s the only programme that adds “Fun to Fitness”.

If you are someone, who is very new to exercise and never really done any kind of exercise all your life, then walk into a Zumba class expecting a lot of fun, dance and a great workout.

Eat 30 to 45 mins before you go into a Zumba class. You can eat a banana, a few almonds, dates, peanut butter sandwich or a bowl of oats. These are some good carbs and can give you the required energy for class.

Your first class, take it very easy, listen to your body if there is a need to take a water break, do so. But do the whole hour and do not leave in between class.

Come in 10 mins early, talk to the instructor, discuss if you have any injuries, warm up and stay until the end to cool down. Sip water as and when you need to.

If you have a knee, ankle, back or shoulder injury, seek doctor’s advice before you get into a Zumba class.
Aqua Zumba in the pool is a brilliant one if you have any sort of injuries, Zumba Sentao, done on a chair is, a good strength and cardio session, Zumba toning done with very light weights also is a great cardio and strength formats.

If you hate exercising, Zumba Fitness is what you really need. You will at no point feel like you are exercising. It is an exercise in disguise.
