Nizamabad: District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged the headmasters and teachers of government schools to take appropriate steps and ensure that all the students of government high schools appearing for the tenth class SSC examination in the year 2017 in the district score A Grades and 10 GPA.

Addressing a review meeting with the headmasters of schools at the Rajiv Gandhi auditorium in the town on Tuesday, she advised the headmasters to closely monitor the classes and pay a special attention on the students if they wanted outstanding results.

They should review the academic activities going on in the schools, she added.

The District Collector said that teachers should not skip classes and all the classes should be held regularly without fail. She said that there were complaints that teachers were indifferent in taking classes and some of them were absenting themselves without giving prior notice.

Teachers should start concentrating on the SSC examination from now itself and ensure outstanding results by chalking out plans. She said that practice tests should be conducted in all the subjects.

Collector Rana said that she would hold SSC tests in the month of January personally and examine the results.

She said that the teachers have a responsibility to see that the SSC students come out in flying colours and make the district proud.

She warned the teachers that action would be initiated against them if they were found to be indifferent in discharging their responsibilities. She said that she ahs the personal records of all the teachers.

The District Collector said that special classes should be conducted for all the students during the early mornings and evenings and weekly tests also should be held to know where the students stand.

Later, Collector Rana inspected the Zilla Parishad High School in Renjil mandal and expressed satisfaction over its functioning. She inspected the digital classrooms and the library.

She told the staff to protect the saplings that were planted under Haritha Haaram.
District Educational Officer N Rajesh, Deputy DEO, MEOs and others were present.
