Telangana Basketball Association in association with Basketball Federation of India will conduct Indian School Basketball League 2016-17 from January 16 wherein 16 teams each in the boys and girls sections will vie for honours.

Telangana Basketball Association in association with Basketball Federation of India will conduct Indian School Basketball League 2016-17 from January 16 wherein 16 teams each in the boys and girls sections will vie for honours.

The Championship which is open to students born on or after January 1, 1998 will be played on League cum Knockout basis.

The winner of the Championship will compete with 15 other teams at the National finals scheduled to be held later during the year.

Teams will be divided into 4 groups of four teams each with the winner and second placed team of each group qualifying for the quarterfinal knockout stage.

The Championship is being conducted to tap the potential at the grass root level and bring the players in the mainstream by providing them opportunities to more exposure,

The registration process comprises of the School being registered and the participating players providing their proof of birth, residence along with the Aadhar card of student and parent.

The last date for sending entries is January 7 and further details can be had from Norman Isaac on phone 94400 48210. Entries will be given on first come first serve basis.
