There is a need for the qualitative and quantitative growth in terms of tourism and ancillary service sectors and a systems approach to tourism sector opined Dr Rajiv Sharma, chairman, Centre for Good Governance while inaugurating a three-day international conference ‘Changing Paradigms in Marketing of Services with Special Focus on Tourism and Hospitality’ at University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Tuesday.

Prof Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, Haryana further advised the university to explore the funding opportunities from Ministry of Tourism and UGC, especially, skill development area.

Over 200 delegates from India and abroad are attending the conference and 50 papers would be presented on themes ranging from Emerging Trends in Marketing of Travel and Tourism, Hospitality and Allied Services, Innovations in Marketing of Banking, Finance, Education, Consultancy and Insurance Services, Changing Paradigms and trends in Hospitality, Health Care, Medical Tourism, Leisure and Entertainment, Emerging Trends in Strategic Marketing, CRM, Logistics, Cross Cultural Marketing, Branding, Marketing in the Digital & Social Marketing era/IT/ITES/Social Infrastructure services.
