Government of Telangana has signed a memorandum of agreement with French Aerocampus Aquitaine on Friday in Hyderabad.
​Hyderabad: Government of Telangana has signed a memorandum of agreement with French Aerocampus Aquitaine on Friday in Hyderabad.
The scope of this partnership is to create a world-class aero skills academy in collaboration with academia and industry based in Hyderabad.
The project deliverables include identifying skill gaps, designing courses and enabling European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Directorate general of Civil Aviation (DGCA) certifications for the academy and its courses.
This partnership focuses on developing skills across youth as well as experienced professionals in tune with the latest industry trends. The new academy will offer specialised aeronautical courses in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance domains.
The academy shall offer long duration basic training programmes for young students and vocational training and short duration courses tailor-made to industry requirements for experienced technicians.
The MOU was signed between Jerome Verschave – General Manager, Aero Campus and Jayesh Ranjan Secretary ITE&C, in presence of Advisor to Government, Papa Rao, Florence Forzy –Raffard- Councilor for International Ecomonic Affairs, Bordeaux, E Venkata Narasima Reddy, VC&MD TSIIC and other dignitaries from DGCA, AAI, Aerospace Industry, Aeronautical Society of India, IIT Hyderabad and Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan said that the Aero Skill Academy will help in attracting large scale investments from eerospace sector. Jerome Verchave mentioned that Aerocampus is very excited to begin this new campus in India.
Papa Rao said that the association with Aerocampus is under the framework agreement signed earlier between Government of Telangana and Bordeaux Metropole.
