Expedite construction works of 2BHK houses: Khammam Collector
District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials concerned to speed up the construction works of double bedroom houses by March end by taking necessary steps.
​Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials concerned to speed up the construction works of double bedroom houses by March end by taking necessary steps.
He chaired a review meeting with the officials here at Pragna Conference Hall in the Collectorate in Khammam on Friday.
Speaking in the meeting, the Collector said for the total 3,600 houses sanctioned under Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj, Tribal Welfare and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the process of calling for tenders was completed for about 2,652 houses. Out of which, the construction works of about 1,200 houses were underway.
“Implement the rules perfectly in identifying the real beneficiaries by conducting meetings in villages in the first phase.
In the second phase, identify the beneficiaries who do not have shelter to live sending the list to the district committee,” ordered the Collector.
The Collector said the district was in top position in completion of the construction of double bedroom houses.
Joint Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, District Rural and Development Agency Officer J Srinivas, Chief Planning Officer Z Ramdasu, LDM Srinivas Sharma, Khammam Rural Development Officer Purna Chander Rao and Engineers of various departments were present along with Tahsildars and Revenue Inspectors.
