Telangana Govt playing responsible role in fulfilling aspirations
State Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that the government is playing a responsible role in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
​Suryapet: State Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that the government is playing a responsible role in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
The Minister attended the Suryapet Agriculture Market Committee oath-taking ceremony as the Chief Guest on Monday at the new market yard.
Addressing the gathering, he said that in the last two and half year Rs 830 crore was spend on development works and Rs 350 crore on welfare activities in Suryapet constituency. Expressing his concern over opposition party’s criticism he said that the government is responsible to the people and also for the development of the State in all spheres with the same spirit of agitation.
He said that pending works of SRSP in the district would be completed by December, 2017 and plans are afoot to provide irrigation to 2.13 lakh acres in Tungaturthi and Suryapet constituencies for the welfare of farmers. Giving top priority to agriculture sector, government allocated an agriculture official for every 5000 acres, to assist the farmer community, he added.
Expressing his displeasure on the hardships faced by red gram farmers, he said that Central government decides MSP of red gram and on behalf of State government a representation has been sent to the respective Central ministry to support the red gram farmers.
He described the State Budget as people's budget and said that the government paid special attention on the most backward classes (MBC). By encouraging sheep and fish rearing, respective castes get income in crores of rupees and import of sheep for meat from other States can be prevented.
He advised the Agriculture Market Committee Chairman Y Venkateshwarlu and his crew to serve the farmer community as it is a good opportunity to bring good name to Suryapet market in the State by addressing all the issues of farmers in an amicable way.
