The State president of the Democratic Student Union (DSU) Kancharla Badri on Friday said that the government should not issue permissions for opening of new private schools and instead should take steps to strengthen government schools. 

Warangal: The State president of the Democratic Student Union (DSU) Kancharla Badri on Friday said that the government should not issue permissions for opening of new private schools and instead should take steps to strengthen government schools.

Participating in a village campaign organised by the representatives of the DSU in Veeryathanda village of Nallabelli mandal in the district. Badri alleged that the government was trying to destroy government run schools and colleges by encouraging the corporate and private educational institutions in the State.

Instead of implementing of common school system as promised by the TRS during the 2014 general elections, the government was trying to close the government schools on the grounds that there were less number of students, he pointed out.

To save education in the public sector, the government must provide the same facilities available in gurukul schools in all government schools present in the State, he observed. He demanded the State government to release the notification of DSC immediately.

The DSU State General Secretary Arunank, district DSU president Amruth Raj and DSU secretary Avinash and others were present on the occasion.
