Prepare action plans for purchasing food grains, JC tells officials

Sircilla: District Joint Collector Yasmine Basha on Thursday directed the officials of various departments to prepare an action plan for purchasing food grains that were produced during the Kharif season.

The Joint Collector chaired a meeting with officials of District Rural Development Agency, Marketing and Agriculture and Cooperative departments to discuss the setting up of purchasing centres and on collecting and storing food grains that were produced in Kharif here at Collectorate in the town.

Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Collector directed the officials to hand over the details of various types of crops that were cultivated during Kharif in the district, food grains that are produced, chances of bringing the food grains to market and quantity of food grains that has to be purchased.

The Collector ordered the officials to prepare an action plan for the completion of construction works of godowns that were still pending along with providing all the basic facilities that were required with weighing machines and torphalin.

The District Civil Supply Officer C Padma and the technician of the Agriculture department Anita were present along with the officials of various departments.
